Choices we make define who we are as a person. Even though it might seem like a cliche, in reality, it is far from that. Choices shape us as persons and it’s up to us to decide what kind of a person we want to be. One way of looking at life is like this: your current self is just a huge summary of all choices and decision you made throughout your existence. And those choices range from small, irrelevant ones such as f.e. buying a hoverboard, medium ones f.e. getting a dog or not, and big ones – going to college or looking for a job right after high school… In the end, every decision you make shapes your personality. So, without a doubt, one of the most important things in life is making the right decisions no matter how difficult they might be!

Choices… Oh, choices…
Whether you go to college, form a startup company or end up begging on the street corner, it’s all your fault! Why? Well, it was you who made the choices that led to the place where you are standing on at the moment. The series of all choices and decisions you made throughout your entire life shape you in a way you probably don’t even realize.
True, you don’t make your own choices until you’re well beyond your teen years. Until then, your parents are making them for you, hoping that they’ll be able to raise you so you can make all the right choices all by yourself later on… Or at least that is how it is supposed to work. Unfortunately, not everyone has supportive parents. As a matter of fact, not everyone has both parents… or even one. The point is – you got to make the most out of your current situation.
Take me as an example. I was raised by my father and didn’t have a mother figure in my life. My father was a strict, (very) religious man who did his best to raise me properly. I was not the best kid, truth be told. I did all sorts of troubles when I was younger. I drank alcohol, smoked a lot of weed (I actually still do that to this day since it’s legal now, praise the Lord) and was not that good in school.
Luckily, I got enough brain in my head to realize when enough was enough. Somewhere in my early 20’s I decided to get my life straight and got myself a first job. That was, and I’m not even over exaggerating here, the first good choice I made (all by myself) in my entire life. Needless to say, I felt very proud but did not even realize what a complete 180-degree turnover I did. If I didn’t get a job at that time, I would probably end up as a street thug or something like that. I would most definitely be far, far away from the beautiful life I am living at the moment.
What I am basically trying to say here is that you have to get to your senses and start making good choices in life. That’s the only way you’ll end up off the streets and be able to live a normal life as everyone else!
